When two outdoor enthusiasts get married.
I don't think there could be a better location than The Fox Pond Sporting Camps for two outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate their love for each other. . Nestled in the woods are rustic cabins, on a beautiful fly fishing pond. Mikayla and Logan's wedding was on the most stunning peak foliage day of fall. The trees were on fire, the pond like glass, it was really an amazing day!
Last minute addition
After things fell through with their original photographer, Mikayla's mom called me less than a week before the wedding, and as luck would have it, I had Saturday available! I'm sure the stress of scrambling for a photographer was anything but fun, but I was so thankful she thought to call me, and that I was able to be the one to capture their beautiful day. It was a whirlwind, but I spent the day thinking to myself how happy I was to be shooting a wedding on such a gorgeous fall day with such a gorgeous couple!
A colorful day
I adored the colors Mikayla used for her wedding! It was going to be hard to compete with the vivid display that mother nature was showing. But the pink, burgundy, and gray color scheme of the wedding was not only unique, it also worked so well with the setting. The rustic back drop of Fox Carlton Pond blended perfectly with the pumpkins, lanterns, burlap, and the twinkle lights added a touch of magic.
Love the local weddings!
Weddings usually have me traveling the beautiful state of Maine. With this wedding I found myself right in my own back yard, and surrounded by so many familiar faces. There were 15+ past clients of Haven Photography, from wedding clients, senior, family, and even a few from my days as a caregiver at a daycare, some of these kids now have kids of their own...and I feel OLD! But more than feeling old, I feel so grateful to have some many wonderful past clients, to have captured so many special moments, to feel so supported, and to be able to call this my job! Thank you Mikayla and Logan for letting me be a part of your special day, I am truly honored to be able to capture such a wonderful day!
You're my cup of tea
Sheridan and Eric's love for the outdoors made Tea Pond Lodge, nestled deep in the back woods of Maine on the shores of a quite and pristine little pond , the perfect spot for their wedding. This off the grid venue that offers, waterfront cabins, a rustic and beautiful main lodge, an amazing gourmet menu, and a brand new wedding pavilion! It truly is a special spot.
The Skier+The sailor
Sheridan spent years competing as downhill skier so she is no stranger to the area with Sugarloaf being just down the road. Eric has a love for sailing and the outdoors, they added so many personal details to their wedding day, from the tables being named with sailing references, invitations that featured the beauty of the surroundings, to deer cake toppers, all set with burgundy and gold to reflect the start of the fall season.
The perfect day
Between the gray and drizzle we got a few hints of blue sky, but the mood of all the friend's and family made for a warm and beautiful day. It was evident that this day had been a long time coming and now that it was here it was time to celebrate! Sheridan's brother officiated and made the ceremony so personal and heartfelt. The speeches from Sheridan's dad, Eric's brother, Sheridan's cousin, and friends it was obvious that there is unending love for the two...and for Eric's former long flowing red locks! We left the wedding feeling like we had such an understand of how perfect a couple Eric+Sheridan make and how truly loved they are! Thank you Eric+Sheridan for letting us be the ones to capture this day in you continuing love story!
